Napping with mommy

Here's a trick I learned: when I get mommy really tired out, usually by waking up every two hours or so during the night, she lets me cuddle with her for an hour or two in her bed! (she's really careful to make sure I don't get smoothered in pillows, comforters, sheets, etc. though)

2 months old

I'm two months old today! To celebrate, I pulled an all-nighter last night ;) Still trying to decide about tonight...

Shots!!!!

I had my two-month check-up today. I am 22 inches long and weigh 10 lbs 6 oz now! The doctor said I was superb. After Dr. Carle listened to my heart (no more murmur) and looked at my ears (no ear infections) and mom took a picture of me with her, Dr. Carle left the room and I chilled with mom & dad. Then George came in and gave me some Tylenol. Then he left, and Pat came in, and she gave me 5 shots!!! Not fun at all. I'll take tummy time over that any day, thank you very much.

Tummy Time

Tummy time is not as fun as a diaper change. It's actually pretty frustrating to lie there with your face down on a blanket. Mommy says it will help me develop neck and arm strength, but I don't know...

Diaper Changes

Diaper changes: good thing. Sure, I wasn't sure about them at first-- I mean, come on-- it was a little disorienting to have your feet suddenly lifted up above your head. But now I get it. Plus, I get to look at fun stuff while my diaper's being changed-- black & white art and bookshelves!! Also, who doesn't like being clean?
I am a big fan of the black & white pictures in mommy & daddy's room (my auntie Gretchen made the one on the top left). It's all about the contrast. I also like the contrast of the bookshelf against the wall, picture frames, and the corners of rooms. Good stuff...

My first entry

Today I am 57 days old! And continuing to learn. Mommy and I are learning about how to make a blog for me. We are going to try to add pictures! Last week I started trying to play with my toys-- it's pretty fun to reach out at them and try to get them to move! It can make a girl tired though.

Mommy and daddy have been singing lots of songs to me-- daddy really likes singing about Pooh bear. I think my auntie Gretchen likes Pooh bear too, because she sent me some great Pooh bear clothes!
